Section 69 (Stationary Glass): BACKLITE: Installation

- Trim urethane adhesive from around rear glass opening fence leaving 1-2 mm of urethane on fence.
- Apply RIM primer 25 mm (1 in.) wide to the mating surface of the backlite encapsulation.
- Apply Gurit-Essex(R) Betawipe 4000 25 mm (1 in.) wide to the mating surface of the backlite encapsulation.
- Apply blackout primer 25 mm (1 in.) wide to the mating surface of the backlite encapsulation.
- Apply pinchweld primer 25 mm (1 in.) wide to the backlite opening fence.
- Apply a 10 mm (0.4 in.) bead of urethane around perimeter of backlite along the inside of the encapsulation.
- Position backlite into backlite opening using alignment pins in lower corners.
- Firmly push glass against rear window glass opening fence.
- Bend tabs around edges of backlite opening fence to retain glass.
- Clean excess urethane from exterior with Mopar, Super Clean or equivalent.
- Install the cab back panel. (Refer to REAR CAB BACK PANEL TRIM )
- Install the quarter trim, if equipped. (Refer to QUARTER TRIM PANEL )
- Install the c-piller trim, if equipped. (Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM )
- On standard cab models, install the b-pillar trim. (Refer to B-PILLAR TRIM )
