Valve Body: Description

The valve body consists of a cast aluminum valve body, a separator plate, and transfer plate. The valve body contains valves and check balls that control fluid delivery to the torque converter clutch, bands, and frictional clutches. The valve body contains the following components (Fig 1), (Fig 2), (Fig 3), and (Fig 4):

By adjusting the spring pressure acting on the regulator valve, transmission line pressure can be adjusted.
