Installation-Pressure Hose

  1. Install the pressure hose to the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect the pressure hose at the gear. Tighten the hose to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.).
  3. Reconnect the pressure hose at the pump. Tighten the hose to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.).
  4. Reconnect the electrical connector to the power steering pressure switch (4.7L engine only).
  5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  6. Refill the power steering system, (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE-POWER STEERING PUMP-INITIAL OPERATION  ).
