Vibration Damper: Removal

- Disconnect the battery negative cable.
- Remove the cooling system fan (Refer to FAN DRIVE VISCOUS CLUTCH-5.9L ).
- Remove the accessory drive belt (Refer to DRIVE BELTS ).
- Remove vibration damper bolt and washer from end of crankshaft.
- Position Special Tool 8513 Insert into the crankshaft nose.
- Install Special Tool 1026 Three Jaw Puller onto the vibration damper (Fig 1).
- Pull vibration damper off of the crankshaft.
