Rear Mount: Removal: 4WD

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
Support the transmission with a transmission jack.

NOTE: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Remove stud nuts holding the insulator to the crossmember (Fig 1 ).
Raise rear of transmission SLIGHTLY.
Remove bolts holding the insulator to the insulator bracket (Fig 1 ). Remove the insulator.

NOTE: MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Remove stud nuts holding the insulator to the crossmember (Fig 2 ).
Raise rear of transmission SLIGHTLY.
Remove bolts holding the insulator to the transmission (Fig 2 ). Remove the insulator.
