Rear Mount: Removal: 2WD

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
Support the transmission with a jack.

NOTE: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Remove engine support bracket-insulator thru-bolt (Fig 1 ).
Raise the transmission and engine slightly.
Remove stud nuts attaching insulator to cross-member (Fig 1 ). Remove insulator.

NOTE: MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Remove the stud nuts attaching the insulator to the transmission extension (Fig 2 ).
Raise the transmission and engine slightly.
Remove stud nuts attaching insulator to cross-member (Fig 2 ). Remove insulator.
