Wiper Module: Removal

- Remove both wiper arms from the wiper pivots. (Refer to WIPER ARM ).
- Unlatch and open the hood.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Remove the cowl plenum cover/grille panel from the cowl plenum. (Refer to COWL GRILLE ).
- Remove the four screws that secure the wiper module bracket to the cowl plenum panel and the dash panel (Fig 1 ).
- Reach into the cowl plenum to move the wiper module far enough to access the wiper module electrical connections.
- Disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the wiper motor from the wiper motor pigtail wire connector.
- Disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness ground connector from the wiper motor ground terminal.
- Remove the wiper module from the cowl plenum panel as a unit.
