Washer Reservoir: Removal

NOTE:
The washer reservoir is integral to the right end of the upper radiator shroud, and the engine coolant reserve/overflow tank is integral to the left end of the upper radiator shroud (Fig 1
).
- Unlatch and open the hood.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the washer fluid level switch from the switch connector receptacle (Fig 2 ).
- Disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the washer pump/motor unit from the motor connector receptacle.
- Disconnect the engine compartment washer hose from the barbed outlet nipple of the washer pump/motor and allow the washer fluid to drain from the reservoir into a clean container for reuse.
- Disconnect the engine coolant reserve/overflow hose from the nipple of the radiator filler spout in the upper radiator hose.
- Remove the six screws that secure the upper radiator shroud to the radiator.
- Disengage the locator dowels on the bottom of the upper radiator shroud from the locator holes in the upper flanges of the lower shroud.
- Remove the upper radiator shroud and washer reservoir unit from the radiator.
