Controller Rear Wheel Anti-Lock Brake: Removal

NOTE: If the CAB needs to be replaced, the rear axle type and tire revolutions per mile must be programed into the new CAB. For axle type refer to appropriate AXLE article. For tire revolutions per mile (Refer to TIRES (2003) or TIRES/WHEELS (2004)). To program the CAB refer to CHASSIS DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES (2003) or CHASSIS DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES (2004).
  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Release the CAB harness connector locks, (Fig 1 ) and remove the harness connectors from the CAB.

  3. Disconnect the pump motor connector (Fig 2 ).

  4. Remove screws attaching CAB to the HCU (Fig 3 ).

  5. Remove the CAB.
