Exhaust To Body Ground Strap-4.7L Engine

  1. Position the exhaust system-to-body ground strap over the top of the right frame rail.
  2. Install the screw that secures the exhaust system-to-body ground strap eyelet terminal to the right body sill panel. Tighten the screw to 5.0 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
  3. Position the exhaust system-to-body ground strap eyelet terminal over the exhaust pipe clamp U-bolt.
  4. Install the nut and washer that secures the exhaust system-to-body ground strap eyelet terminal to the exhaust pipe clamp. Tighten the nut to 27.1 N.m (20 ft. lbs.).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the battery negative cable.
