Air Bag Control Module (ACM): Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove floor duct adapter retaining screw from bottom of AC-heater unit housing (under instrument panel) and remove adapter. Pull carpet away from right and left sides of transmission tunnel under center of instrument panel.
  3. Remove 4 ACM retaining screws and lift ACM up and off locating pins. See Figure. Disconnect ACM wire harness connector and remove ACM.
