Stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (Dtcs)
Stored DTCs are intermittent codes and are accessed through DRBIII. If fault message is intermittent, AIR BAG warning light glows for a minimum of 12 seconds. Intermittent DTCs are stored in ACM memory, along with number of times DTC was active and number of key cycles fault was in memory. Minimum time stored for any DTC is one minute. If a malfunction is detected, a DTC is stored and will remain stored as long as malfunction exists.
When and if malfunction ceases to exist, an ignition cycle count will be initiated for that DTC. If ignition cycle count reaches 100 without a reoccurrence of that malfunction, DTC is erased and the ignition cycle counter is reset to zero. If malfunction reoccurs before count reaches 100, ignition cycle counter will be reset and DTC will continue to be a stored DTC.
