Removal (Disc Brakes)

  1. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
  2. Remove the disc brake caliper. See CALIPER .
  3. Remove caliper adapter. See CALIPER ADAPTER .
  4. Remove the rotor. See ROTOR .
  5. Remove the axles shaft. See appropriate DRIVE AXLES article in DRIVELINE/AXLES.
  6. Remove the parking brake shoes. See PARKING BRAKE SHOES .
  7. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake lever.
  8. Remove the bolts attaching the support plate to the axle and remove the support plate.
