Camshaft Position Sensor

For Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor testing, perform the following diagnostic test:

On 3.9L and 5.9L, perform DTC P0340: NO CAM REFERENCE SIGNAL AT PCM under DIAGNOSTIC TEST in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DAKOTA - 3.9L & 5.9L article.
On 4.7L, perform DTC P0340: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT under DIAGNOSTIC TEST in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DAKOTA - 4.7L article.
