Monitored & Set Conditions

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Target idle is monitored with the engine idling and the transmission in Drive (if A/T), and no Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) or Throttle Position (TP) sensor DTCs present. DTC will set when engine idle is not within 200 RPM more than or 100 RPM less than target idle for 14 seconds. Three separate failures are required to set a bad trip. This is a 2 trip fault.
