Battery Temperature sensor circuit is monitored with the ignition on and no battery temperature sensor open or short faults present. DTC sets after 5 warm cycles have occurred. A warm cycle occurs when coolant increases at least 40°F (22°C) to a minimum of 160°F (71°C), the odometer mileage has increased 196.6 miles, and the battery temperature has changed less than 7.2°F (4°C). This is a one-trip fault.
