Monitored & Set Conditions
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The engine coolant temperature performance is monitored when the engine off time is greater than 480 minutes. Ambient temperature is greater than 38°F (4°C). DTC is set when after a calibrated amount of cool down time, the PCM compares the ECT sensor, IAT sensor and the AAT sensor values. If the IAT sensor value is not within 18°F (10°C) of the other two temperature sensors. This is a two trip fault.
