Removal (4.7L)

Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located at right rear side of cylinder block. See Figure. It is positioned and bolted into a machined hole in the engine block. Disconnect CKP sensor connector and remove mounting bolt. Carefully pry sensor from block using 2 screwdrivers and a side-to-side motion. Check condition of CKP sensor "O" ring and replace if necessary.
