Possible Causes

  1. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BULB CONCERN
  2. CAB DTC PRESENT
  3. INTERMITTENT CONDITION
TEST ACTION AND APPLICABILITY

TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition off.
Observe the ABS indicator.
Turn the ignition on.
Did the ABS Indicator illuminate for several seconds and then turn off?
  1. Yes --> Go To 2
  2. No --> Replace the Instrument Cluster in accordance with the Service Information.

    Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

2 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII®, read CAB DTCs.
Are there any CAB DTCs present?
  1. Yes --> Refer to Table of Contents for the related DTCs.

    Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

  2. No --> The condition is not present at this time. Monitor DRBIII® parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Refer to any Hotline letters or Technical Service Bulletins that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.

    Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
