Liquid Line: Installation

- Position the liquid line into the engine compartment.
- Remove the tape or plugs from the liquid line spring-lock coupler fitting and the evaporator inlet tube.
- Lubricate a new rubber O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil and install it on the liquid line fitting. Use only the specified O-ring as it is made of a special material for the R-134a system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type recommended for the A/C compressor in the vehicle.
- Connect the liquid line to the evaporator inlet tube (Refer to INSTALLATION ).
- Install the secondary retaining clip onto the spring-lock coupler that secures the liquid line to the evaporator inlet tube.
- Install the liquid line into the retaining clip on the right inner fenderwellt
- Remove the tape or plugs from the liquid line fitting and condenser outlet port.
- Lubricate a new rubber O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil and install it on the liquid line fitting. Use only the specified O-ring as it is made of a special material for the R-134a system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type recommended for the A/C compressor in the vehicle.
- Connect the liquid line to the condenser outlet port.
- Install the nut that secures the liquid line fitting to the condenser outlet port. Tighten the nut to 22 N.m (16 ft. lbs.).
- Position the radiator and condenser air seal to the right side radiator support and install the four push-pin retainers.
- If equipped, install the vehicle speed control servo to right inner fenderwell (Refer to SERVO ).
- Install the engine air filter housing .
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Evacuate the refrigerant system (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ).
- Charge the refrigerant system (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE ).
