Side Impact Air Bag Control Module (SIACM)

Durango models are equipped with right- and left-Side Impact Air Bag Control Modules (SIACMs). SIACMs are located inside B-pillars, near seat belt retractors. SIACM contains impact sensor and diagnostic microprocessor. If SIACM detects side impact of sufficient force, SIACM deploys appropriate curtain (head impact) air bag.
