Electromechanical Instrument Cluster (EMIC)

EMIC includes hardware and software necessary to serve as the electronic body control module. EMIC allows vehicle operator to monitor conditions of many vehicle components and operating systems, including air bag system. Air Bag Control Module (ACM) communicates with EMIC using Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) data bus network. In the event of an air bag system malfunction, EMIC will illuminate AIR BAG warning light. AIR BAG warning light is integral with EMIC.
