Curtain (Head Impact) Air Bag Module

Durango models are equipped with curtain air bags. Curtain air bag modules are mounted to right- and left-side outboard edges of roof, behind headliner. Curtain air bags contains a squib, air bag cushion and pyrotechnic inflator. Upon sufficient lateral (side) impact, Side Impact Air Bag Control Module (SIACM) actuates curtain air bag inflator, deploying air bag.
