Caliper Adapter: Removal
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove the front tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts. See Figure
.
- Remove the disc brake caliper from the adapter. Hang caliper out of the way using wire or a bungee cord. Use care not to over extend the brake hose when doing this.
- Remove the brake shoes from the disc brake caliper adapter. See Fig 1
.
- Remove the abutment shims from the adapter. See Fig 1
.
- Remove the 2 bolts securing the disc brake caliper adapter to the steering knuckle. See Figure
.
- Remove the disc brake caliper adapter.
