Removal (Neon)

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable from its post on the battery.
  2. Under the instrument panel, remove the brake lamp switch by rotating the switch in a counterclockwise direction about 30 degrees and pulling it out of the bracket.
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness from the connector on the switch.
  4. Discard the brake lamp switch. Switch must not be reused.
