Brake Lamp Switch

CAUTION: DO NOT reuse the original brake lamp switch. The switch can only be adjusted once. That is during initial installation of the switch. If the switch is not adjusted properly or has been removed for some service, a new switch must be installed and adjusted.
  1. Install the brake lamp switch into the vehicle. See BRAKE LAMP SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. With the brake pedal in the fully released position, move the lever on the back of the brake lamp switch from the angled non-adjusted position to the full vertical position. See Fig 1 . This will adjust the brake lamp switch to the vehicle.
  3. Check the stop lamps to verify they are working properly and not staying ON when the pedal is in the released position.
