Removal & Installation

- Drain cooling system until coolant level is below cylinder head. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness connector. ECT sensor is located near front of engine and contains a Black/Light Blue wire and Tan/Black wire in harness connector. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 .
- Remove ECT sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten engine coolant temperature sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill and bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING under COOLING SYSTEM.
