Ambient Temperature Sensor: Notes

Ambient temperature sensor may also be referred to as battery temperature sensor.
The ambient air temperature sensor is located on the inside of the right front bumper beam. See Figure. This sensor will inform the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system of the ambient temperature outside the vehicle. This sensor is used by the ATC system to adjust blower speed, temperature offsets, evaporator temperatures and mode control.
