Removal & Installation

The solenoid attaches to a bracket near the air cleaner. The solenoid will not operate unless it is installed correctly. See Fig 1. Disconnect wiring harness connector and vacuum hoses from EVAP purge solenoid. Remove EVAP purge solenoid from mounting bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
NOTE:
Ensure EVAP purge solenoid is installed so the word TOP stamped on top of solenoid is facing upward, or solenoid will not operate.
