EVAP Canister: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Dodge Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Intrepid, 2003 Chrysler Concorde, and 2003 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. EVAP canister is located above fuel tank. See Figure. Remove fuel tank for access to EVAP canister. See FUEL TANK  under FUEL SYSTEMS.
  3. Disconnect the EVAP hoses from the EVAP canister and the electrical connector. See Figure. Squeeze the lower tabs on the EVAP canister to release it.
  4. Swing the EVAP canister away from the lower bracket. Lift the EVAP canister up and off the upper mounting tab. See Figure.
