Removal (3.5L)

  1. EGR valve is located at rear of right cylinder head. Disconnect negative battery cable at remote battery terminal on passenger's side strut tower.
  2. Remove air inlet tube and resonator. Disconnect EGR valve assembly harness connector. Remove EGR pipe-to-EGR valve mounting screws. See Figure. Remove EGR mounting screws, EGR valve assembly and gasket. Clean gasket surfaces. Discard old gasket. If necessary, clean EGR passages.
