Height-Sensing Proportioning Valve: Installation

  1. Install hooked end of valve actuator in insulator bushing located on lever of height-sensing proportioning valve. Ensure insulator bushing is fully seated on hooked end of valve actuator.
    2. NOTE: When installing height-sensing proportioning valve, ensure protective shield is installed between height-sensing proportioning valve and mounting bracket.
  2. Install protective shield and height-sensing proportioning valve on mounting bracket. Install and tighten height-sensing proportioning valve-to-mounting bracket bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  3. Install brakelines on height-sensing proportioning valve. Tighten brakeline nuts to specification. Adjust height-sensing proportioning valve. See HEIGHT-SENSING PROPORTIONING VALVE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Road test vehicle to ensure proper brake operation.
