Removal (Non-Deployed Module)

  1. Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Passenger-side air bag module is located above glove box and is mounted to instrument panel retainer.
  3. Open glove box and push sides inward to allow door to fully open. Working through glove box opening, disconnect air bag module and remove 4 nuts and 2 screws retaining module. See Fig 1 .
