Driver-Side Air Bag Module & Steering Wheel: Installation

  1. If replacing a deployed air bag module, replace clockspring. See CLOCKSPRING under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Position steering wheel on steering column. Ensure flats on steering wheel hub fit formations on inside of clockspring.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure wires do not get pinched under steering wheel. Tighten all fasteners to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
