Test 5A - Driver-Side Squib Shorted To Battery

WARNING: Turn ignition off and wait 2 minutes before proceeding.
  1. Disconnect air bag control module 4-way connector. Disconnect driver air bag module. Turn ignition on, engine off. Use voltmeter to measure driver-side air bag line 1 or line 2. If voltage is not above 0.5 volts on either circuit, perform TEST 15A - ACM REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE  . If voltage is above 0.5 volts, disconnect clockspring 2-way connector.
  2. Use voltmeter to measure driver-side air bag line 1 or line 2. If voltage is not above 0.5 volts, replace clockspring. If voltage is above 0.5 volts, repair driver-side air bag line 1 or line 2 short to voltage.
