Entering On-Board Diagnostics

  1. Before entering on-board diagnostics, refer to PRETEST INSPECTION & DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . Turn ignition off and disconnect negative battery cable. Attach most current DRB cartridge. DRB cartridge has ability to check itself and DRB. It provides a volt/ohm meter and performs any test required by air bag system diagnostics.
  2. Connect DRB to data link connector. See Fig 1 . ACM data link connector is located under lower left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on. Reconnect battery terminal.
  3. If DRB displays error message, see DIAGNOSTIC FAULT CODES (MESSAGES)  . Following modes are accessible from DRB menu: VEHICLES TESTED, HOW TO USE, CONFIGURE and SELECT SYSTEM.
