Intermediate Shaft: Removal

  1. On 2.2L engine, remove fuel pump. On both engines, remove distributor assembly. Remove timing belt cover and timing belt. Install Intermediate Sprocket Holder (C-4687). Remove sprocket bolt and sprocket.
  2. Remove intermediate shaft retainer bolts and retainer. Remove intermediate shaft. Remove intermediate shaft front bushing using Bushing Remover (C-4697-2). Remove intermediate shaft rear bushing using Bushing Remover (C-4686-2).
