Temperature Gauge

  1. Remove connector from temperature sending unit. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Ground sending unit lead wire and note gauge reading. Temperature gauge should have maximum reading.
  2. Wiring continuity and voltage to temperature gauge must be checked if gauge reading is not obtained. Replace gauge if continuity and voltage exist. Replace sending unit if proper gauge reading was obtained while grounding lead wire.
