Oil Pressure Warning Light
- Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Warning light should come on. If light comes on, start engine. If light remains on, immediately turn off engine. Check oil pressure using direct reading gauge.
- If pressure is correct, check for grounded wire or replace oil pressure sending unit. If light does not come on, oil pressure switch should be checked.
- Remove molded connector or single lead at oil pressure switch. On switches using 3 terminals, connect center terminal of connector to ground.
- If switch uses a single lead, connect lead to ground. Replace sending unit if bulb comes on. Check light bulb, socket, wiring, or connections if bulb does not come on.
