Charge Indicator (Aries, LeBaron, Reliant & 400)
The charge indicator light comes on when ignition voltage at instrument cluster drops below 11.2 volts. This system monitors the complete charging system, not just the alternator output. An electronic module plugged into printed circuit senses voltage between cluster feed and ground.
