Parking Brake Adjustment - Rear Drum Brakes: Adjustment

  1. Adjust rear brakes. Release parking brake. Raise and support vehicle. Check parking brake cables for free movement. Lower vehicle. Remove parking brake/gearshift console hood. Partially raise vehicle.
  2. Turn self-locking nut on parking brake lever assembly until wheels are difficult to turn. Back off nut until rear wheels are just free to turn. Lower vehicle. Install parking brake/gearshift console hood.
