Valve Body Solenoids
Valve body solenoids (mounted on the valve body) are output devices controlled by signals received from Transaxle Control Module (TCM). No. 1 and No. 2 solenoids are used to control transaxle shifting. No. 1 solenoid controls 1-2 and 3-4 shifts, while No. 2 solenoid controls 2-3 shifts. Torque converter clutch solenoid is used to control torque converter lock-up. Pressure control solenoid is used to control transaxle line pressure.
