INTERMITTENTS & Poor Connections
NOTE:
As with most electronic systems, intermittent malfunctions may be difficult to diagnose accurately. The following is a method to try to isolate an intermittent malfunction. Most intermittents are caused by faulty electrical connections or wiring, although a solenoid can occasionally be at fault.
If an ICS malfunction occurs, ICS indicator will illuminate during ignition cycle in which malfunction was detected. If it is an intermittent problem which seems to have corrected itself (ICS indicator off), a history DTC will be stored. Also stored will be history data of DTC at time malfunction occurred. Use scan tool modular diagnostic system to read ICS history data.
