Diagnostic Aids

The BRAKE lamp glows brightly when ignition is ON and either parking brake lever switch or brake fluid level switch is closed. If neither switch is closed, BRAKE lamp receives a ground through generator, and it glows dimly when ignition is ON and engine is off. When engine starts, generator creates voltage. With voltage on both sides of lamp, lamp turns off.
