Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Open rear deck lid. Remove nuts and center high-mounted stoplamp (CHMSL). See Fig 1 . Disconnect electrical connector. Remove CHMSL bulb.
  2. Install replacement CHMSL bulb. Connect electrical connector.
    NOTE: Dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other may corrode rapidly. Make sure to use correct fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.
  3. Install CHMSL with nuts. Tighten center high-mounted stoplamp nuts to 4 N.m (35 INCH lbs.). Connect negative battery cable.
