3. Backing plate

  1. Position the input/output shaft and the P4 annulus drum assembly (1) on Assembly, Press Fixture 8925-3 (special tool #8925-3, Assembly, Press Fixture) (3) and Splitter, Bearing/Gear 1130 (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) (4).

  2. Remove the selectable shim (1).

  3. Remove the P1 (1) annulus from the assembly.

  4. Remove the clutch B wave plate (1).

  5. Remove the clutch B friction (3) and steel plates (2).

  6. Remove the clutch B backing plate (1) from the assembly (2).
