Lamp, Center High Mounted Stop: Installation

1. Check to be certain that the t retainer units (4) are properly installed and in good condition in the deck lid (1) inner reinforcement.
2. Position the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) (2) to the mounting hole on the inside of the deck lid inner reinforcement.
3. Push the CHMSL into the mounting hole until the two integral latch tabs snap into place and the two retainers extend from the CHMSL mounts.
4. Install and securely tighten the fasteners (3) that secure the CHMSL to the inner deck lid reinforcement.

5. Reconnect the body wire harness connector (1) to the connector receptacle integral to the back of the CHMSL housing (2).
6. If the vehicle is so equipped, reconnect the body wire harness connector (3) to the Passive Entry (PE) deck lid release switch pigtail wire connector on the back of the CHMSL housing.
7. If the vehicle is so equipped, reconnect the body wire harness connector (4) to the rear view camera connector receptacle on the back of the CHMSL housing.
8. Reinstall the trim cover onto the inside of the deck lid.
9. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
