Signal Lamp

Vehicles equipped with the optional signal lamps (2) located in the outside rear view mirrors (1) have amber-colored Light Emitting Diode (LED) units that illuminate through a clear lens on the lower, forward facing surface of the mirror shell cap. Illumination of these lamps is coordinated with the illumination of the turn signals for the same side of the vehicle.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the cap from the shell of the outside rear view mirror (1). Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, GLASS, REMOVAL .
3. Remove the fastener (2) that secures the inboard end of the signal lamp (3) to the mirror shell.
4. Pull the inboard end of the signal lamp away from the mirror shell far enough to disengage the stepped tab on the outboard end of the lamp from the shell.
5. Carefully pull the signal lamp away from the mirror shell far enough to access and disconnect the lamp pigtail wire connector from the mirror wire harness connector.
6. Remove the signal lamp from the mirror.
