Seat, Front: Removal

WARNING:

Review all warnings and cautions prior to servicing the seats. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

WARNING:

Handled seats carefully when servicing. Be careful not to drop seats on the workbench or floor. If dropped, the seat position sensor may become damaged and inoperative. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

  1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to SEATS, FRONT, WARNING .
  2. Remove the headrest.
  3. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable, if equipped with manual seats.
  4. Move the front seat to the full forward position.
  5. Remove the trim cover (1) then the bolt (2) and the lower seat belt anchor (3).

  6. Remove the two rear bolts (2).

  7. Move the seat full rearward.
  8. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable, if equipped with power seats.
  9. Remove the two front bolts (2).
  10. Tip the seat rearward and disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) from under the seat.
  11. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
