Panel, Rear Door Trim: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Using a small pick tool, pull out on interior latch handle and remove the trim plate (1).

  3. Pull out on interior latch handle and remove the screw (1).

  4. Using a small pick tool, remove the trim plate (1) just behind the armrest.

  5. Remove and disconnect the power window switch. Refer to REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the screw (1) just behind the armrest.

  7. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, disengage the door trim snap retainers (2).
  8. Raise the trim panel (3) up and peel the belt molding off from the flange.Do not fully remove at this time.

  9. Disconnect the map light harness (1).

  10. With the use of pliers or equivalent, press the tabs (1) inward and pull the inner handle release cable rearward.
  11. Remove the cable barrel (2) from the interior handle.
  12. Remove the door trim panel.
  13. If necessary, use a flat bladed screwdriver to disengage the belt molding clips (1) from the trim panel.
